Paying should be the least interesting part of your order. This page sets out what we take, who handles it, and what happens to your card details.

Security at checkout

Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, which operates to PCI-DSS standards. The connection between your browser and our store is protected by SSL/TLS encryption for the whole of the checkout, and we do not store full payment card numbers or payment credentials on our servers at any point.

Currency, tax and when you are charged

Every price on the site is shown in US Dollars (USD). Product price and any applicable sales tax are totalled on the checkout page before you confirm, so the figure you approve is the figure that leaves your account. There are no handling charges, no surcharges and no fees added after the fact. Your payment method is authorised when you place the order.

If something goes wrong

A declined payment is usually one of four things. Work through them in order:

• Check that the billing address and card details match what your bank holds.
• Confirm the funds or credit are available.
• Look for a block or a limit set by your bank or card issuer, particularly on a first online purchase.
• Try one of the other methods listed above.

If the charge still will not go through, your bank is the fastest route. We are happy to help from our side as well.

Order confirmation

A confirmation email goes out as soon as the payment succeeds. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder before doing anything else. Still nothing? Write to support@millennialcity.com and we will confirm whether the order registered.
