Millennial City exists because most homeware is designed for houses. We sell City Living Essentials for the other kind of home: the one-bedroom over a busy street, the walk-up with a single closet, the studio where the desk is also the dining table. We work out of LOS ANGELES, CA, and everything we list is measured against that reality rather than a showroom floor.

How a product earns a place here

Three questions decide it. Does it fit a small room, with the maker's dimensions published on the page so you can measure before you order? Does it fold, stack or come apart when you move, rather than needing a van and two friends? And does it still look right sitting out in the open, because in an apartment there is nowhere to hide it?

Anything that only makes sense with a garage, a spare room or a workshop behind it does not make the cut. We would rather list fewer things that genuinely work in three hundred square feet.
